Day 1 : Marrakech – Aït Benhaddou – Ouarzazate
Departure from yoyr place of stay to begin the discovery of southern Morocco. Crossing the High Atlas to reach the Tizi’n Tichka pass. Continuation to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, visit of this fortress which is part of the world heritage and classified by UNESCO. It has also been the setting for several world famous films such as Gladiator, the Mummy, Babel, Lawrence of Arabia…
Continuation to the Telouet Kasbah, an architectural gen located in the south of Morocco and testifying the passage of one of the strongest and richest pashas in the hsitory of Morocco. It offers breathtaking views of the green mountains and berber villages in the area.
Continuation to Ouarzazate for overnight and diner in a 4* hotel.
Day 2 : Ouarzazate – Gorges du Dades – Gorges du Todra
After breakfast, departure to Tinerhir by through the draa valley and the road of 1001 Kasbahs to reach Kalaa Mgouna, the famous village known for its rose which blooms every year from mid-April to mid-May. On the way visit the Dades gorges.
We will take the road to Tinerhir with a stop at the Todra gorges and a visit of the palm grove and a berber house to discover the secrets of the production of the beautiful moroccan rusgs.
Diner and overnight in a kasbah.
Day 3 : Gorges du Todra – Erfoud – Merzouga
After breakfast, departure to Merzouga, taking the route of the famous caravans of other times. Troughout the journey, a scroll of different landscapes is offered to you : desert landscapes, plains, oases, palm groves…
We will also visit the fossils of Erfoud, the Tafilalet valley and the pre-saharian oases before reaching Merzouga.
After a break, in an inn to taste mint tea, we’ll take a camel ride (around 2 hours) to enjoy an unforgettable sunset before reaching the tented camp. Diner around a wood fire with entertainement, songs and dances of the inhabitants of this region.
Day 4 : Merzouga – Vallée du Draa – Agdez
We will admire the sunrise and then head on camels to Merzouga. Brakfast will be served in a charming house the departure to Rissani. Capital of the Alaoute dynasty currently in power. Continuation to Agdez, taking the road of the famous caravans of other times. Throughout the journey, a scroll of different landscapes is offered to you : desert landscapes, oases, plains, palm groves…
Continuation of our trip to the berber village of Agdez crossing the Draa valle. Overnight in a guest house located in a beautiful palm grove.
Day 5 : Agdez – Ouarzazate – Kasbah Telouet – Marrakech
After breakfast, departure to Ouarzazate by taking the old merchant caravans road linking Marrakech and Tombuktu.
In Ouarzazate, visit the kasbah of Taourirte and the famous film studios. Continuation to the famous Kasbah of Telouet : an architectural gem located in the south of Morocco and testifying the passage of one of the strongest and richest pashas in the history of Morocco. It offers a breathtaking views on the green mountains and berber villages in this area.
Continuation to Marrakech and return to your place of stay.
